Our Washington District 8 Challenger Division was started in 1991 by Gary and Bev Newsome to give children with intellectual and physical disabilities a chance to play ball. Today, the program flourishes with 2 leagues: Challenger (ages 4-18) and Senior Challenger (ages 15 and above), totaling over 100 players throughout the greater Seattle area. The program is supported by the 12 Little Leagues making up Washington District 8, as well as the Seattle Mariners, who continue to create special memories for these players.

Little League Challenger Division Open Registration

Register for our 2022 Little League Challenger season! The registration fee is $25, which covers hard goods, soft goods, and field rentals. You will be registering through your local home little league. Please visit this link to register with Nortshore Little League (or this link to determine who your home little league is). Our 2022 WA District 8 Challenger season will start with practices the week of April 4th. Games will run twice per week from May 7th through mid-June, culminating in an end-of-the season jamboree held at Northshore Athletic Fields (NAF) in Woodinville on June 18th*. *All practices/games/info subject to change due to the current pandemic.
